OKAY, OKAY I’LL WRITE

Okay, are you off the floor Kelli?

My first post in Montana, almost 2 months here and it has taken me a while to get adjusted in my mind and spirit. But I think I am here now.

My first impression of Helena is not what I expected. I was picturing something totaly different. Jen kept telling me that it was alot like Eastern Oregon but I guess I just could not see it in my mind. It is lovely here not anything like the Willamette Valley. It is so much dryer here, and I thought it would be cooler but it isn’t. (I did not realalize that I moved to Arizona) IT’S HOT. I don’t do hot.

One thing I do love is that you feel you are alot closer to the sky here. You almost feel like you can reach out and grab the clouds. And when there is a storm here (there have been many since I have been here) you can watch clouds forming right before your eyes it is cool.

Another cool thing is that there are old (and I mean old) building here. Building form the 1800′s, it is so dry that the wood is well preserved here. You can just drive around and see old shack that people use to live in all over the place, I wonder who lived in those houses and what was their life like. I love history.

Helena is in a bowl, just like a spoon, montains all around and the valley in the middle. Its kind of neat to have mountains all around you. Can’t wait till it really starts to snow. It sould be really pretty. It did snow here last week so I got a little preview of what it will look like.

It took me awhile to get use to the speed limit. Its 75 mh. Oh my that is fast. But I have it down pretty good now. I do catch myself sometimes sill going 60 or slower. Not to many people here to get mad at you for going slow though. At night time they change all the traffic signals where the just blink yellow, that was weird to see. Just not that much traffic here.

Well I guess that will be all for now. I will try to blog more from now on.

Not to long now…

I woke up early this morning, I hate doing that on the weekend. It has been really windy but warm. It finally feels like summer. Not really hot days but warmer mornings. The way I like it.

Been feeling alot of emotions lately. Moving day is on July 12th. Am I ready? Not really, I still have alot of packing to do, still need something things for the trailer, been spending way to much money on that (I hope I have some to move with).  Been feeling a little depressed also about leaving. Not that I don’t want to go anymore but what I will be leaving behind, but then also feeling like most can’t wait till I leave. Mixed bag of emotions. I know most of it is in my head, but also don’t think I will be missed all that much. I can be the thorn in peoples sides. Very opinionated, that’s me.

I will be living on the side of a mt. or small hill. Not sure what it is, but can’t wait to see it. There is a view of a lake, that you can’t swim in, it’s polluted, lovely right….. Not that I am an environmentalist, but what is wrong with us. Destroying something God gave us, good grief. Anyway the pics I have seen of the property remind me of Eastern Oregon, kind of dry looking with pine trees. Works for me. I wonder if, like in Eastern Oregon there are less allergy’s? That would be GREAT. I will post pics when I get there and figure out how to do it on this thing.

Well time to get to work on packing. I am going to try to get it all done this weekend or at least get most of it done.  Maybe with moving day getting closer I will be typing more…..

It’s June!!!!

June is my favorite month, and not just because my birthday is in June. I think it stems from childhood. June was when school was out for 3 whole months. Yea!!!!. To bad that dose not continue into adulthood.

Saturday was a GREAT DAY!! Spent time with family that I have not seen in quite some time. My Uncle Merle and his family, also my Aunt Carol and her new husband, and her kids. We took a big family picture, there was about 38 in all. It might be awhile before I see some of them, moving to Montana and all. So I was glad to spend some time with them all.

Well in just a little over a month and I will be in a different state. Still feeling excited but also getting sad. I will be the only one of my parents kids that moved away. It’s a little unsettling. I try not to think about it to much. If I do I will just break down and cry. I am still going but I would be crying from now until I leave. Not good for the eyes.

This is a short post, but thought I had better get one in, it has been awhile. Hopefully I will get one in a little sooner next time.

Getting ready for a New Life

My sister has been bugging me about starting a blog for awhile now. I kept telling her that I have nothing going on my life to write about. My life was not that interesting. But….

Times they are a changin’, I decided in December to take a giant leap and move… to Montana.  For people who know me, that is a big thing. I don’t do change well, I tend to keep things the same, don’t rock the boat that sort of thing. But I felt that it was the right thing for me to do. Felt that that is were God was leading me.

So I leave for Montana in July. I have been getting things ready, packing, getting Doctor apts taken care of while I have insurance, and buying a computer. That’s when I thought I would start this blog.  Got my computer a few weeks ago and here I go.

I thought I would write about my experiences and any trials that I might encounter.  Mostly this is for my family and friends to know what I am up to and what is going on in my life.

I hope it won’t be to boring. I hope that I will not make to many mistakes with my grammar. I am not the writer my sister is. As a matter of fact I am not a writer at all. So this will probably be full of mistakes. But what the heck.

So that’s it for now, I will try and write often, because it drives me crazy when people blog and go two months between post.
